The Rollercoaster Theory

Imagine life is a rollercoaster.

The funny thing is… rollercoasters strap you in before they begin. Life doesn’t.

It just starts moving. Before you feel ready. Before you know what’s coming next.

There are climbs that seem like they’ll never end. Drops that take your breath away. Turns you never saw coming.

Sometimes you grip the safety bar so tightly… you forget to look around.

Sometimes the best views… happen while you’re too busy being afraid.

Then, before you’re ready… the ride slows down.

You step off. And somehow… the thing that felt so incredibly long… now feels unbelievably short.

You don’t remember every twist. You remember who was sitting beside you.

You remember who made you laugh. Who screamed with you. Who reached over and reminded you it would be okay.

Then you turn around… and see another line of people. Excited. Terrified. Waiting for the ride you just experienced.

If you could tell them one thing… it probably wouldn’t be, “Don’t be scared.”

It would be, “Look around. Laugh louder. Hold the people beside you close. It goes by faster than you think.”

Because one day… the ride will end. And you’ll wish you’d spent less time waiting for it to be over… and more time enjoying that you got to ride it at all.
